Tsunami Dec 26th in 2004, two deaths reported in Kuala Muda, North Seberang Perai. Kuala Muda stricken of Tsunami at 1.15pm, and increase in water up to 2.7 meters to the surface. Tsunami began in West Aceh less 160km from the coast of Aceh. Venue 10km deep. The sea earthquake strong as 9.0 on the Richter scale. One of the serious impact of havoc in the area is, has happened on the Sungai Muda river bank. Sudden rose of water level in the river has inflated boats up to the upstream, and ensued various destruction such as numerous collision, lost property, death of domestic animals, and severely eroded on the river bank. Fish breeders and livestock breeders have grieved because their cages and equipments have been damaged and lost.
