Trevesia burckii is a scientific name for a type of tree that grows well on mountainous of Tropical Rainforests, particularly in Southeast Asia. The Malay name is Daun Tapak Rimau. It is favored by decorative vegetation lovers because of its unique leaves. The leaves' form seemed propeller-like expanded, as a reason this plant was also given the name, "Leaves Ghost's Foot" or "Leaves Tiger's Footprint".This plant is native to Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. It derived from the family of Araliaceae. Genus Trevesia was taken from the name of Enrichetta Treves de Bonfill from Padova in Italy, a supporter to botanical studies in the 19th century.

The leaves of this plant belonging to the genus Trevesia that is, the form fingers-like. In the middle of the leaf the strands narrowed at the ends to form stalks-like. At the strand divided, the strand of leaf extended and widened back to the stalk. Trevesia burckii, unique shapes of the leaves appear when it was growing up, while the sapling has oval-shaped leaves.
This plant always green, easy to spread in shady areas on the mountainous of Tropical Rainforest. Trevesia is often created as ornamental plant inside and outside of buildings or houses. In the home, from a gloomy corner to the area which exposed to sunshine, it can grow well.
